What it does, and what it doesn't
Enhance sharpens what's in your picture and clears up the roughness that comes with small files. It works from the detail that's already there — and there is nothing to configure, no quality slider and no levels to choose between, because the answer is the same every time.
What it doesn't do is invent. It won't add a face that was never captured or read a number plate that was never legible. That's a deliberate choice: an enlarged photo of your grandmother should still be your grandmother, not a plausible stranger with her haircut.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much bigger does it get?
Four times the width and four times the height — sixteen times the area. Very large photos are capped, but if yours is already that big, you didn't need this.
Will it still look like my photo?
More like it, if anything. Nothing is redrawn or replaced; it’s your picture with the detail brought up and the roughness taken out.
Why can't I order the big canvas sizes?
Because the sizes offered depend on what your image can carry — a small picture can't be printed large without falling apart, so those options don't appear. Run it through Enhance and they do.
Does it work on old scans?
It's one of the things it's best at. Scans are usually sharp enough and simply too small, which is exactly the problem this solves.
Where does Enhance fit in?
