You don't have to be good at describing things
That's what the built-in prompt improver is for, and it costs nothing to use. Write the plain version — "a fox in the snow" — and it offers a fuller one, with the light and the setting and the detail filled in. Both are on screen; you choose which to use, and if your description was already good it'll tell you so and leave it alone.
It's the fastest way to learn what a strong description looks like, because you can see the difference between yours and the one that came back. You can also skip the style buttons altogether and describe the look you want in your own words — see the questions below.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I don't know what to write?
Start plainly and use the prompt improver. Nobody writes a good description first time, and reading the improved version teaches you more than any guide would.
What styles can I choose?
Six buttons: photorealistic, oil painting, watercolour, 3D render, pencil sketch and anime. One per run, and none of them is compulsory.
They're a shortcut rather than a limit. Each button adds a few words to your description, and you can write those words yourself instead — ask for a comic-book look, a 1950s travel poster, a stained-glass window, or Van Gogh's brushwork with Picasso's shapes, and it will have a go. The buttons are there for when you'd rather not think about it; the box is there for when you would.
Use one or the other, though, not both. If you've pressed the watercolour button, don't also ask for watercolour in your description — the button is already adding those words, and saying it twice pushes the result further in that direction than you meant.
What shape will it be?
Whichever you pick: square, landscape, widescreen, portrait or tall. Choose for where it’s going — tall for a hallway, widescreen above a sofa.
Can I print it?
Yes, like any other result. For a large print, send it through Enhance first to unlock the bigger sizes.
Can I change it afterwards?
Yes. A created image can go into Edit to change a detail, or Expand to add more scene around it. You don't have to get everything in the first description.
